8 Reasons I Don’t Share My Faith
July 11th, 2007 by Sean
This short video (6 min 21 sec) is hilarious yet it makes a profound point. One person lists off eight reasons for not preaching the gospel. This video helped me to see how silly my objections really were.
- Did you enjoy this video? Why or why not?
- Can you think of other reasons why we don’t share our faith?
- What can we do to overcome these objections?
I though this was an excellent video. It shows in fact how silly our excuses for not preaching the gospel are.
Let me ask you this, if what we believe on paper is true about what happens to those who do not turn to Christ, why are so many butts still on the couch?
Can you think of other reasons why we don’t share our faith?
Because modern Christendom has separated our life and our faith works into two separate things. We must “go” be a missionary and live a certain way and do certain things. We must arranged a certain day to go and do this special work, instead of, as the Scriptures prescribe, always, always being ready to give evidences for Christ’s faith in us and being even more ready to do good works.
The idea that we could be a missionary to our co-workers while on the job is foreign.
This video is great.
What can we do to overcome these objections?
Remind ourselves that if we are ashamed of the King of All Creation, Yeshua / Jesus, then He’s equally ashamed of us.
I think Satan has systematically shaped our culture to be isolationistic and thus it is, for many, completely bizarre to talk to strangers about anything, much less the taboo subject of religion. He has been in earnest for quite some time. Perhaps it is time that we rise up in revolution against this “don’t talk to strangers” slogan.
I guess I’m not the norm.
I look for excuses to share my faith. “I will share my faith at the drop of the hat” and sometimes I’ll drop the hat myself.
We are getting to close to the end of this age not to share our faith. This is what Ron Paul said I think this week.
Texas Congressman and 2008 presidential candidate Ron Paul has warned that the euphoria surrounding the election of Barack Obama combined with the overwhelming fear of major international crises could facilitate a cataclysmic shift toward a new world order.
Appearing live on the Alex Jones show earlier today, the Congressman spoke of a feeling of dread surrounding the change of guard both in the White House and on Capitol Hill:
“I do feel it but I don’t think it’s brand new, I didn’t wake up with it, I’ve had it for a while, I don’t think the election was a surprise, but the rhetoric is getting pretty strong and they are getting very bold.” he commented.
Speaking on the stage management of the election, and calling it a “huge distraction” from real issues, the Congressman outlined how both candidates were pre-positioned by the elite interests with the knowledge that either would satisfactorily serve their agenda:
“I think McCain was obviously a back up candidate in case something happened where Obama didn’t win, they’d have been satisfied with McCain, but they have been positioning Obama for a long long time.”
“This started even before he announced he was running. Anybody who would have gotten that much favorable coverage for so long, you know that the plans are laid for him to be the individual that’s going to be taking care of the corporate elite.” the Congressman continued……
If you noticed in the article Ron Paul mentioned several times “The New World Order” and “One World Government”
We can not sit by idling and wasting our time.

Sean and Mark,
Good points. I like the idea of “dropping the hat” ourselves. I like just dropping it right out of the blue in a conversation. Religion - creation and evolution - are the first (and almost only subject) I talk about in-depth with people I run into.
God, the Father and God of Yeshua / Jesus, grant us boldness to be more bold and knowledge.
