I borrow that title from an author who’s book’s title begins with “Dispensationalism-Rightly dividing the people of God?” In my search for truth I came upon the fact that i was raised a “dispensationalist” , Hmm, interesting, well this author was comparing and contrasting “reformed” theology with Dispensational theology, and his criticism brought me to a huge discovery- My whole theological training I’d been raised with believed God has one plan for Israel - and another for the church..it didn’t take long for me to say , wait a minute- the new covenant is THE NEW COVENANT-period..and so my search was vindicated further..and I became less moored to traditional “churchianity”, and more keenly aware of how interconnected the Faith is with your teachers and what they were taught..

Which is why the teacher will be doubly judged..

now, I’m not espousing reformed  theology-obviously-maybe because they are postmillenial…uh, how can you espouse that position without truncating almost all of the prophetic–the literal promises of God to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and to Messiah Jesus, and to us by adoption..but I digress.

I want to, by way of testimony, challenge the reader with a question-what is it you believe, and why?

Who have you let teach you? and Why? In my case it was by default, as it was for most.  The man in the pulpit was the one who I believed, I’ve always had that fault, I believe people..Well, now I’m older and have come to the realization that most of my teachers couldn’t even explain to me the foundations of the theology which they were espousing..

Do you? It’s not enough to just say you believe what the Bible says.  unless there is no chance of indoctrination by formal teaching- live in a vaccuum? There is at least the subconscious indoctrination by the mores of society and our topsy turvy culture.

So, what have I come up with? you might ask..

Well, after looking into covenant theology, taditional dispensationalism, reformed theology, progressive dispensationalism, and well-I realized the futility of it..I actually felt a burden to do something about it and write something myself, but it’s an overwhelming thought, and frankly I can’t commit to it.  Not to mention, someone may reply to this and say- oh, you need to read such-and-such systematic theology, it’s already been covered. Then maybe i can point other critically minded people to it.

Another example, there is the matter of a provoking book called, “The Pilgrim Church”, by E.F. Broadbent.  It covers so many “heretical sects” (deemed so by the mega churches of the day) of the remnant ecclesia..all practically unknown to us today, our heritage-lost to the mainstream-and it showed me the same lesson as the theology lesson..Heh-Who’s running this world folks? Mystery Babylon runs on lies..and not only is the spirit of the world trying to wreak it’s work in the church-I think the disintegration could be at least partially instigated by our own inherent striving for organization itself..but our hands, they might as well be claws, trying to pick up a pin..
Listen-Revelation 14:12 says, “Here is the patience of the Saints..” and I believe that means knowing-patiently knowing- he will vindicate all the ones who long for righteousness, long for Clarity and Truth, long for purity, long for gentleness, long for peace, and receive contempt and scorn and mocking..with a shout and a trumpet blast!! Behold I come quickly, and my reward is with me!  In Righteousness He doth Judge and make war!

This is the messiah King, “the patience of the saints” is better explained to us if we realize this was who they all wanted to see the first time he was here..

“Here in is the patience of the saints..” -read it in it’s context, and tell me if we shouldn’t pay atention to such a provocative verse.

The crushing fist of the messiah King will come against all the lies and sorcery, all deception and oppression, all of IT WILL END..LET YOUR KINGDOM COME, OH GOD.

Let’s be single minded about that - shall we?
