Evangelism Conference

In a few weeks, June 6-8, we will be having an evangelism conference at Living Hope in Latham, NY. All are welcome to attend and can register online (click here). It should be a great time to dig in to the Scriptures to understand the biblical gospel and how it was preached. Then we will be working on the question of how to preach the same message in the context of 21st century western civilization. So far our schedule is as follows:


Schedule For The Weekend
 Friday evening (7:00-9:30pm)
   Session 1 -> Defining the Biblical Gospel (part one) — Sean Finnegan

   Session 2 -> Defining the Biblical Gospel (part two) — Victor Gluckin
 Saturday Morning (9:00-12:00pm)
   Session 3 -> The Aims of Evangelism — Nathan Crowder
     [refreshment break]
   Session 4 -> A Method for Doing Evangelism — Victor Gluckin
     [refreshment break]
   Session 5 -> Interactive Video Small Groups
 Saturday Afternoon (12:00-3:00pm)
     Lunch — provided at Living Hope (included in the price)
   Session 6 -> Guidelines for Communicating Effectively — Sean Finnegan
   Session 7 -> Role Playing: Practice Evangelism on Each Other
 Saturday Evening (7:30-9:30pm)
   Session 8 -> Overcoming Objections (Q&A From Audience)
 Sunday Morning (10:30-12:00pm)
   Session 9 -> Sunday Service @ Living Hope — Victor Gluckin

    Sounds very interesting Sean! Wish New York and Texas weren’t so far apart.

    Are you guys going to record video and/or audio of everything for posting on here later?

    Sean, when you say ‘All are welcome to attend’, does ‘all’ mean ‘all’? I have some friends from New England who may wish to visit.

    Brother Jonno, any who you would send would be warmly received…so sorry I couldn’t see you when you were in RI…I feel like it was a great loss to miss your visit…like the comet that only comes around once every 10 years

    Thanks Sean. I was pretty disappointed myself, as I mentioned in that email. God willing we’ll have another chance, preferably in the Kingdom at Christ’s return.

    Today is the day!!!!

    Please come and join us in Latham, NY for this special event. If you feel like you’re on the fence, hop on over to the side of the LORD! I know often times when faced with the prospect of speaking the gospel, we get tempted to look at our flesh - we suddenly don’t feel well, have a lot going on at work, family issues suddenly come up and more - keep pushing through - you won’t regret your time!
