Formatting Comments
October 3rd, 2009 by Sean
When making comments it is available to use some neat formatting features. This blog does not use specialized formatting like message boards, rather it takes advantage of standard html. Below are instructions on how to use html in your comments.
- to indent (as when quoting another’s comment or a Bible reference) type: <blockquote>text</blockquote> and it will look like this
text
- to bold type <strong>text</strong>
- to italicize type <em>text</em>
- to underline type <u>text</u>
- to make a link type <a href=”url”>where url is the website</a>
(please note: if you include two or more links in your comment it will automatically go to spam. If this happens to you, either email us (moderators@kingdomready.us) or else only put one link per comment.) - unfortunately bulleted or numbered lists do not work in the comments
How hard would it be to allow someone to “preview” their own post before actually posting it?
Sometimes the specialized tags don’t show up correctly (boldfacing half the comment) or it just doesn’t show up the way it was expected after hitting “Submit Comment”
It would probably contribute to a higher quality of posts if it was possible to preview comments (since the interface does not allow comments to be deleted.)

Andrew,
At this time we are not able to preview comments; this is a limitation of the current version of WordPress we are using. Please use this area of the site to test out formatting.
