Matthew 7:15-20 Jesus uses this analogy often because it is so easy to understand. Two deadly lies that contradict this simple truth are:
��1) What he is doing is wrong, but he has a good heart.
��2) Someone else or something else is responsible for our behavior.

Galatians 5:19-21 Succinctly outlines the deeds of the flesh (sins).

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 A stronghold can be a source of defense for the devil, where demonic or sinful activity is actually defended within us by our sympathetic thoughts toward evil.

2 Corinthians 10:5 A demonic stronghold is any type of thinking that exalts itself above the knowledge of God, thereby giving the devil a secure place of influence in an individual's thought life.

Mark 6:12-13 Repentance precedes deliverance from demons.

2 Corinthians 10:5 Taking every thought captive to Christ is how we tear down strongholds.

As the result of bad things that happened to us in our childhood, we draw false conclusions about ourselves.

IMPROPER PARENTING

In human maturation, there are different stages of development: infant, child, adult, parent, and elder. Within each stage, there are essential needs and tasks in order to mature.

GENERATIONAL INHERITANCES

The sins of the parents are passed down to the children.

LACK OF FORGIVENESS

Matthew 6:14-15; 2 Corinthians 2:4-11 When we refuse to forgive, we give place to the devil to take great advantage of us.

BITTER ROOT OF JUDGMENT

Hebrews 12:14 & 15 The root of bitterness defiles self and others (Matthew 7:1 & 2; Galatians 6:7).
